A Canadian folk group will perform in Nailsea this weekend.

Còig will perform at Nailsea Folk Club in the Tithe Barn on November 7.

Canada’s powerhouse Còig have cemented their status as one of the most exciting North American Celtic groups.

With a fiery Celtic style as their musical core, Còig offer a fresh and exhilarating mix of traditional tunes, lively instrumentals and contemporary songs performed on over a dozen instruments in a lot of non-traditional ways.

Featuring the fiddling and step-dancing duo of Chrissy Crowley and Rachel Davis, and the musical musings of multi-instrumentalist Darren McMullen and guest musician, Thierry Clouette, the award-winning quartet are an unparalleled music force.

Còig have collected a mantle of awards and nominations for their catalogue of recordings, including a Canadian Folk Music Award, a JUNO nomination and multiple East Coast Music Awards and Music Nova Scotia Awards.

Tickets, priced £16, are available at www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on/nailsea/tithe-barn-nailsea/coig/2021-11-07/19:30
