From making his professional debut in front of Gloucester's famous Shed stand, to captaining England in a world cup final, rugby star Phil Vickery MBE has seen it all - on and off the pitch.

Now, the former prop - who was part of England's world cup-winning team in 2003 - is bringing his packed book of stories to Weston.

Vickery, who was capped 73 times by England, remains in rugby through various coaching roles and as a pundit for TV and the print media.

He will be at Weston's Playhouse Theatre on Wednesday, February 2, for a special 'An evening With...' event, where people will be able to hear some stories from his time on the pitch, as well as having the opportunity to ask questions of someone who has been at the coalface of professional rugby for decades.

The show gets underway at 7.30pm and tickets for the event, priced at £25, are available via https://www.parkwoodtheatres.co.uk/Playhouse-Theatre.
