April 16-26: THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE. Australian actress-turned-popstar Natalie Imbruglia stars in Alan Ayckbourn’s hit play which sees bedroom farce develop into something more complex as the two chief adversaries fall head over heels in lust.

April 28-May 3: HMS PINAFORE. Beautifully and imaginatively staged with exquisite period costumes, Carl Rosa Opera present Gilbert and Sullivan’s sea-faring smash hit, a hilarious tale of love, hypocrisy and mistaken identity which unravels when the captain’s daughter secretly falls in love with a common sailor.

April 11/12: WELSH NATIONAL OPERA. The acclaimed company presents two stunning productions. Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, presented on the 11th, charts the tale of the classic fallen woman, from innocent to criminal, with feverish intensity. La traviata, an attack on hypocrisy and celebration of the fact that essential human qualities like compassion, love and self-sacrifice do exist, is staged on the 12th.

April 13: THAT’LL BE THE DAY. The nation’s favourite rock ‘n’ roll variety show returns with a fantastic line-up of knock-out hits from the 1950s, 60s and 70s and zany comedy routines.

April 14-19: BLOOD BROTHERS. Hailed as one of the best musicals of all time, Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers has triumphed across the globe. It is the captivating and moving story of twin boys separated at birth, only to be reunited by a twist of fate and a mother’s haunting secret. Maureen Nolan and Warwick Evans star.

April 21-26: DERREN BROWN - INFAMOUS. The multi-award winning acknowledged master of psychological illusion returns to the stage with his new ‘more personal’ show, one which promises to demonstrate once again why he is one of the world’s most renowned live performers.

April 27: HOT FLUSH. Share in the friendships, the secrets, the tears, the laughs and ups and downs of four ordinary women - and one man - living extraordinary lives. Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph heads the cast.

April 30-May 3: ROBIN COUSINS’ ICE. The Olympic champion and Dancing On Ice judge has hand-picked the greatest skaters from around the globe to bring his incredible new production - which promises to redefine ice skating for a whole new generation - to life.

April 26 (The Lantern): THE BEST IN UK STAND UP - PAUL SINHA. A qualified GP, Paul Sinha began performing stand-up when he was a junior doctor in London. He is now best known as one of the chasers on the hit ITV quiz show The Chase.

May 2/3: FRANK SKINNER. The ever-popular “clown prince of laddism smartens up his act” (The Guardian), losing the filth in favour of more sophisticated subject matters - from celebrity and homelessness to Japanese poetry - on his latest stand-up tour.

April 10: VIENNA FESTIVAL BALLET. The acclaimed company presents one of the best known love stories of all time, Swan Lake. Complete with lavish costumes, stunning scenery and the glorious music of Tchaikovsky, it’s an evening not to be missed.

April 15: JOSH WIDDICOMBE. The star of Channel 4’s The Last Leg, BBC1’s Live At The Apollo and Mock The Week hits the road with his new show, Incidentally.

April 17: BILLY PEARCE. A national treasure and without doubt one of Britain’s most talented and best loved comedians, Billy Pearce presents his new stand-up show.

April 18: WE’VE ONLY JUST BEGUN. Close your eyes and re-live the magic of one of the greatest female voices in pop music history as Toni Lee becomes Karen Carpenter and sings more than 20 well-known hits.

April 19: BOBBY SOCKS AND BLUE JEANS. A breathless live music production featuring over 40 smash hit songs from the 50s and 60s and featuring the outstanding talents of Kytsun Wolfe.

April 23-26: ME AND MY GIRL. Join Weston Operatic Society on a trip to a house party at Harefield Hall where there is great excitement that the missing heir to the Earldom of Harefield has been found. He turns out to be a pugnacious cockney from Lambeth, Bill Snibson. Come and see if the gentry can mould Bill to their way of life - or whether his cockney spirit win out in the end.

April 27; WESTON YOUTH ORCHESTRA. The town’s talented young musicians stage their annual spring concert, featuring both the junior and senior orchestras.

April 29: THE FUREYS IN CONCERT. Legends of Irish music and song, The Fureys and Davey Arthur have been entertaining audiences worldwide for 36 years and are responsible for some of the most stirring music ever to capture the public imagination.

April 30: REAL DIAMOND. With a dynamic new band, John Hylton presents a tribute to a musical legend in The Double Diamond Tour. John’s son Allen performs as a younger Neil in a show which proves the only thing better than one Neil Diamond is two.

May 2: THE UKULELE ORCHESTRA OF GREAT BRITAIN. The renowned musicians stop off in Weston with their funny, stomping, toe tapping, all-singing, all-plucking obituary of rock and roll and melodious light entertainment.

May 3: ED BYRNE. A self-confessed ‘miserable old git’ since the age of 23, Ed is now in his 40s. While for others this might result in a crisis that prompts the purchase of a sports car, Ed embraces middle age with open arms. Come join him, as he truly comes of age and declares: “I am in my 40s - hear me roar!”

May 4: BRISTOL RUSSIAN BALLET SCHOOL. Special guest principal dancers Elena Glurdjidze and Arionel Vargas, leading members of the English National Ballet, star in a presentation of the classic fairytale Cinderella.
