A TRADITIONAL tale is turned on its head when the Magic Light Productions visits the Playhouse with Red Riding Hood.

This hilarious adaptation tells the story of how Granny Hood, who lives in a cottage in the woods, visits Red Riding Hood and – without realising it – delivers her a magic red cloak created by the Good Fairy of the forest.

Meanwhile in another part of the wood a wolf is looking for something to eat and there is only one person who can save the day – Little Red Riding Hood.

But she is not alone; she is accompanied on her adventure by her best friends Muddles and Russell Sprout. Will all the characters get to live happily ever after?

The show will star Libby Edwards as Red Riding Hood, Steve Bloor as Muddles, Stuart and Jayne Loughland as Granny Hood and the Good Fairy, and from the Chuckle Brothers live theatre shows Safire’s magic light puppets.

Red Riding Hood will be at the theatre on February 16 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £9.50-11.50, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or via www.theplayhouse.co.uk
