FOLLOWING Worle Operatic & Dramatic Society's (WODS) production of Oliver last November, the talented performers are offering audiences another enjoyable trip to the theatre with Noel Gay's show, Me & My Girl.
They will present the hit musical at The Playhouse, Weston, from November 13-15.
Set in the 1930s, the action follows the life of Bill Snibson, a cockney barrow-boy descended from nobility.
When he unexpectedly inherits an Earl's fortune, it is conditional on him marrying somebody approved by his newfound stuffy relatives.
But Bill is already involved with a girl from his own background in Lambeth.
Worle Operatic is a family society and for this production both leading pairs are being played by real-life couples.
Leighton Cole and Anna Gibbons play Bill and Sally and Bev Priest and Pete Tyrell play Jacqueline and Gerald.
Tickets, priced £10-12, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or via www.theplayhouse.co.uk Family tickets for £35 are available.
