One of William Shakespeare’s comedic plays will be brought to life by a Worle theatre group next month, and readers can win tickets to see the show.
Worle Operatic and Dramatic Society’s (WODS) Musical Theatre Company will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Tropicana, in Marine Parade, from August 2-4 at 7.30pm, with an additional matinee performance at 2.30pm on August 2.
The award-winning theatre company will venture into the land of the Bard by performing one of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays.
It has had many different adaptations over the years and has stood the test of time.
On a midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites lurk and fairies rule.
While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their friends presenting a play within a play.
Chief mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue.

Tickets, priced £8-10, can be purchased at www.worleoperatic.co.uk/tickets or on the door of each show.
