REF Junior Arts Festival photos. A friend sent me a cutting from a recent edition of the Mercury featuring past festivals. The picture taken on the beach of the two girls with a donkey (1987) was of my two daughters. Their names were then Lucy Wordsworth, aged 16 (the flautist), and Jemma Wordsworth, aged 17 (clarinet). Jemma won the clarinet cup that year. She was a member of Weston Youth Orchestra and also the Saturday morning South Avon Schools Orchestra. They both attended St Martin's Primary School and then went on to St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School, Bristol. They both sang in St John's Church choir under Alison Wilson. At that time the choir was large and talented.Neither daughter went on to make a career in music. Both are married and Jemma is a health visitor tutor in Stoke-on-Trent and Lucy is a superintendent radiographer at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro. Thanks for printing the photo. It has brought back many happy memories.MRS BARBARA TREVERTON - Barnham, West Sussex
