I WAS not surprised to learn that there have been so many accidents involving child pedestrians and cyclists in Worle High Street, as I have frequently seen children running and cycling into the road without looking to see if it is safe.I was very surprised, however, that the council's response to this lack of road sense is to suggest costly road alterations or pedestrianisation. Before disrupting all residents, businesses and users of the High Street perhaps the council should run some road safety and cycling proficiency courses in schools so that children can use not only Worle High Street but also all other roads safely.MRS J EDWARDSConstable Drive, Worle.
