May I point out that no local evening bus service has been in operation from Portishead to Clevedon for almost three decades, the last being August 1977.Therefore a nearer resort is also cut off for people of any generation, winter or summer. And then again, the mention of further local entertainment, theatre, cinema, bowling alley, has also been mentioned very many times over a long period of years, but without any further interest or development. The town's needs are many and to cope with the continued housing developments, people will become future residents of here today, gone tomorrow. Houses will become unoccupied as the years journey on.One subject nearer the mark is of course the outcome of the former Kodak building.Winston Davies , Down Road, Portishead
