WHEN I read Mr Patston's letter (Mercury, June 15) it made me weep. His attitude to his misfortune is amazing, and made me feel very humble at being so annoyed by the person who hit my car mirror and broke the glass and didn't have the decency to leave a note. Mr Patston's wife and family must feel very proud. I am sure they realise how fortunate they are to be related to such a wonderful man.VALERIE HARRIS - Via email
