IF MARCHFIELDS Way was made into a dual carriageway and used as the main arterial route to and from the town centre this would free up the part of Winterstoke Road from Nuts and Bolts to the roundabout at the Herluin Way junction. Traffic exiting from Asda onto Winterstoke Road would then be able to move more freely until the lights at the roundabout.Access to Winterstoke Road near Nuts and Bolts if made reasonably difficult would cut out the majority of traffic using it and could therefore be made two way with access from the Herluin roundabout and a new access/exit on Marchfields Way. With Marchfields Way being a dual carriageway, problems of traffic trying to exit from the Dunelm, Focus and MFI trading area would therefore be easier as traffic would not cross traffic waiting to exit.R S DAVEY - Coleridge Road, Weston
