I HAD occasion to use the bus service to The Campus, off Bransby Way at Locking Castle, and was appalled to find the last number 13 leaves The Campus bus stop at 5.10pm. Naturally on the day I wanted it, it was cancelled or was extremely late, so I walked to Worle High Street and caught the a number seven bus. I know the last number 14 bus runs at 5.30pm but that is the bumpy one which bounces up and down Old Mill Way and engenders travel sickness, so I avoid it.Locking Castle is so built as to discourage the use of cars and to usher people to use public transport. However, far more evening services need to be provided. The Campus is open until 10.30pm for functions, Weston College's computing facilities and the public library until 8pm. It is ludicrous that the last bus available is 5.30pm.First Bus originated in Weston when it was Badgerline. It would be nice if the company would help the people of this rapidly expanding town with more sensible evening bus services in areas of large population.JANE SAKER - Furland Road, Weston
