THE electorate of Milton and Worle voted not for Cllr Roz Willis per se, but for the principles and standards of the Liberal Democrat Party. To suggest that she can continue to work for the people in "my" (her) ward is preposterous. The decision to save taxpayers money, £80,000 annually, by abandoning the grandiose flummery of the chairman's car, chauffeur and assistant, part of a necessary cost cutting exercise, was discussed before Cllr Willis accepted the chairmanship. It is not, as Cllr Mike Roe would have it, "loss of tradition". Face it Roz, flouncing off to a party so diametrically opposed to the principles you supposedly posited, is a betrayal, is a betrayal, is a betrayal.FELICITY ALLEN - President Weston Liberal Democrats
