MAY I state as chairman of North Somerset Community Action Association (NSCAA), that we have at this time no intention of collecting a petition concerning the Tropicana. Furthermore I would like to state it was not NSCAA who called for the recently held parish and public meetings at the Winter Gardens and the United Reformed Church Hall. That honour belongs to a single individual, Richard Whittington, who is a member of our party but not an official. Our members merely gave our support for the meeting. With regards to James Dobson, also a member of our party, he was invited to speak on the offer made by NSCAA to the council for the Tropicana. Therefore it is with thanks to that unknown individual who through your paper gave our party some free advertisement space. For that we are indeed indebted, although that information was incorrect.DEREK STANLEYChairman NSCAA
