The language was foul

LAST week after many years I visited Weston for the first time with my family. We stayed in a lovely hotel called the New Ocean Hotel, which gave us a warm welcome in first class facilities.I often spent my own holidays as a child with my parents here and I was pleased to find that the town was as wonderful as I'd remembered it.The weather was beautiful, the beach clean and there was plenty for all of us to do.However, I will think very carefully about returning in the near future, as everywhere we seemed to go we encountered large groups of young people both male and female who seemed intent on spending their time getting drunk. The language coming from these youngsters was foul and rather than subject my family to this sort of behaviour again I will think seriously about going somewhere else next year. This seems such a shame as the facilities in the town were ideal but unless a serious attempt is made to curb this behaviour we will not return.MR S THOMAS - Southra Park, Dinas Powys, Vale of Glamorgan
