ARTISTS sold their work at an exhibition to raise more than £1,000 for Christian Aid.Dozens of people visited the Boulevard United Reformed Church to see more than 100 pictures by local artists last weekend.A donation of 20 per cent of the money raised from the sale of the paintings was given to the charity.Hand-made cards, patchwork, jewellery and knitted items were also sold at the exhibition.Organiser Gill Trulock said: "The exhibition was very successful and we were pleased with the large amount that was raised.
