A Somerset group’s annual art show will have a twist for visitors to watch this year.

The Draycott Art Club Exhibition will see the best work from artists from around the area on display and available to buy.

But this year’s will include a special section devoted to life drawing.

The Draycott Art Club is one of the few art groups in the UK to have life drawing and portraiture sessions every week alongside other art work groups.

Often on Thursdays, 15 or more members will sit down to work on drawing people which are sat right in front of them.

This year’s exhibition will see people drawing a model as visitors walk around and watch.

Robin Gray, the resident tutor, believes the pursuit of life drawing provides an excellent grounding for all types of visual art.

The exhibition will run from 10am-4pm each day from today (Thursday) to May 5 in Wells and Mendip Museum, in Cathedral Green, in Wells.
