SOME of the most memorable moments of the past year have been captured in a Weston artist’s work.

Kevin Mathews, aged 51, of Upper Church Road, has been painting for the past three years and set out to create an artistic timeline of key events.

Kevin said: “As an artist I endeavour to push the boundaries of art and artistic expression to new limits.

“With this in mind I have set out to create an artistic timeline of paintings on a daily basis spread over a 12-month period from January 1, 2012 to the December 31, 2012.”

Kevin’s work includes global news events such as the Olympic and Paralympic games, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, America’s presidential elections and Hurricane Sandy.

He added: “This project is unparalleled and involved personal dedication and perseverance.”
