Display of art for village

PUBLISHED: 16:09 28 June 2011

THREE Somerset artists will show off their work in Worle from this weekend.

The show will run from Saturday afternoon at Swift Home Solution in High Street.

It is something a little bit unusual to display art and photographs alongside washing machines, kitchens and shower cubicles, but Dave Tabrett, Nick Pound and Sue Baker will be doing just that for a week.

Dave and Nick have recently held a successful exhibition at Woodspring Priory as part of North Somerset Arts Week.

Dave’s art is based around the subject of impermanence and imperfection. All his work is composed in the open landscape, which changes constantly.

Nick is a landscape photographer, whose inspirations are the landscapes and seascapes of Somerset where he grew up.

His goal is to capture the unique beauty of the ever-changing seasons, weather and light, and render something of his emotional connection with the area.

Sue combines ceramics and screen printing to create some unique and imaginative work.

The exhibition will be free.
