THE artistic talent of students in the district is being highlighted at North Somerset Museum in a special exhibition.
The annual Art for the Future show, which has been running for 15 years, features works by students across North Somerset’s secondary schools.
It features 2-D, 3-D and photographic works covering a range of challenging subjects, including alcohol abuse, religious fanaticism and disability and equality issues.
Nick Goff, museum curator, said: “The quality, inventiveness and fearlessness of the artists is remarkable.
“The students are not afraid to address large issues and express themselves through their art.
“I am proud that the museum can give them the chance to show their abilities to a wider audience.”
The show runs at the Burlington Street facility until February 5 2011 and is open Monday to Saturday, 11am- 4pm.
