SOME of the best local artists will be showcased at an exhibition in September.

The North Somerset Arts showcase exhibition will be held at Sidcot School from September 15-23.

The exhibition will be open 10am-4pm daily (except Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) and will feature paintings, sculptures, ceramics and wood pieces made by talented local artists.

The work that has been selected has been chosen by a panel made up of professional artist Les Matthews, gallery owner Lloyd Gill, Lorraine Coles from Church House Design, George Micklethwaite from Framing Fairy and Sidcot Arts Centre Emma Davies.

There is still time for artists to enter their work for the exhibition. The final deadline for applications is Saturday.

To enter, go to http://www.northsomersetarts.org/sidcot

The school is in Oakridge Lane, Winscombe.
