Wedmore Real Ale Festival.
REAL ale lovers are in for a treat this year at Wedmore’s Real Ale Festival which is themed around the Blues Brothers.
The three-day event, which will take place from September 14-16, will include great beer, great food and live music.
The band Crosswired will be headlining the first night of the festival at 7pm, supported by DJ Enhance.
The Wedmore festival, which will be held in the village hall in Cheddar Road, now boasts more than 60 different real ales and will include a barbecue, hog roast and snacks throughout the evenings.
Bacon baps will be on offer on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am and more food will be available during the day.
Traditional pub games and a family atmosphere generally takes hold until the early evening and all are welcome, but no-one under the age of 18 will be allowed after 8pm.
Saturday night’s entertainment will include the band Kick the Cat and the fancy dress theme will be the Blues Brothers.
The festival finishes with the event’s legendary auction and the festival team is currently appealing for prizes and lots. If you have an item or service that you wish to donate, or if you would like to volunteer during the festival, contact Chris Perry on 07793 597315.
