FIVE comedians will look to start February with a gale of laughter as a Weston venue hosts its first comedy night of 2013.

The Windsor Castle in Upper Bristol Road has a barrel-full of belly laughs lined up for the show at 7.30pm on February 2.

Cardiff-based Chris Chopping has gigged across the UK, and was the winner of the Bedford New Act Of The Year last year and the You Must Be Joking Newbury Act Of The Year in 2011.

Karen Sherrard will perform as Esme de Flange, a lascivious television gardener who will share her own gardening tips with the audience.

Rob Hughes and Dave Arnold will make up the rest of the bill, while the event will be compered by local funnyman Mark Hurman.

Entry is £5, payable on the door.
