Bristol is set to welcome its very own slapstick festival with a host of big-name comics poised to take to the stage.

This one-night-only event is not to be missed with Jason Manford, Jack Dee and Susan Calman already billed for the night of laughs.

It is not comedy as you know it, though, with the word ‘madness’ describing last year’s event.

You will have to hold on to your hats as audience participation will no doubt play a part during this hilarious evening.

Jason Manford will be taking a break from his West End exploits in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to return to his comic roots in a line-up unique to Bristol.

He will be joined by Jack Dee and Cheddar-born comic Richard Herring, who is described as ‘one of the hidden masters of British comedy’.

Susan Calman will also join the fun, fresh from performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

This successful event is returning to Bristol for the fifth year in a row to celebrate the wealth of British comedy talent.

More big names are expected to be added over the coming weeks so don’t miss out.

Stand Out – Stand Up For Slapstick will be at the Colston Hall on September 14 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced at £29.50, are available from www.colstonhall.org
