A TRIO of nationally-renowned comedians will be taking to a Weston stage on February 1.

Paul Ricketts, Chris Norton Walker and Tom Glover will all be entertaining visitors to the Green Baize Sports Club, supported by local compere Alan Holloway.

Londoner Ricketts will be taking the headline slot, and displaying a sharply observed wit which has seen him tour the UK for the past seven years and earn rave reviews for his 2012 Edinburgh Fringe performance.

Club owner Dave Bailey said: “We are very pleased to have been able to tempt Paul over to Weston as he’s the perfect act to banish the winter blues, one of my favourites.”

Support comes from two accomplished acts, both of whom regularly headline gigs in their own right.

Joining Paul from London is Chris Norton Walker, a man whose deadpan delivery has audiences in stitches, and completing the line-up is Dorset’s Tom Glover, a man who will appeal to fans of the wit and enthusiasm of stars like Russell Howard.

This will be the third comedy night run at the North Street venue after two successful shows in 2012.

Tickets are priced at £5 and can be booked from the club on 01934 644221 or paid on the night, with doors set to open at 8pm.
