THE world’s most famous ginger New Zealander is coming to Bristol next month as part of an international tour.
Rhys Darby, who found fame playing the daft but lovable Murray Hewitt in HBO’s surprise smash sitcom Flight Of The Conchords is taking to the stage as a stand-up comic.
In This Way To Spaceship, Darby takes an autobiographical look back at his life – after the world has ended and he wakes up on board a spaceship.
As a lone survivor, he has to figure out why he made it through the rapture while throwing out one-liners, improv comedy and self-deprecating humour in equal measure.
Darby, who was on the UK comedy circuit for eight years before he landed his TV role, has also starred alongside Jim Carrey in Yes Man and had a lead role in the cult classic comedy The Boat That Rocked.
Rhys Darby is coming to the Colston Hall on July 4 from 8pm.
Tickets, priced £20, are available by calling 0117 9223686 or going to www.colstonhall.org.uk
