A comedy troupe composed of people on the autistic spectrum will bring its fantastic show to Bristol.

Asperger’s Are Us is a Massachusetts-based quartet who perform skits and monologues which reflect their thoughts, perspectives and offbeat sensibilities.

The group said: “We do not poke fun at Asperger’s and we did not form to prove autistic people can be funny.

“We formed for the same reason anyone does comedy: To make people laugh.”

The foursome is made up of Jack Hanke, Noah Britton, Ethan Finlan, New Michael Ingemi – who changed his name to distinguish himself from his father, old Michael Ingemi.

The comedians met more than a decade ago at a camp where Britton was a councillor.

Asperger’s Are Us will be at the Bristol Improv Theatre, in St Pauls Road, at 8pm on July 8.

Tickets, priced £10-12, are available from 07936 617158 or online via www.improvtheatre.co.uk
