Stand-up veteran Jeremy Hardy has a new show which sees him at his politically astute best.

Jeremy Hardy is in his fourth decade as a comedian, and has packed in work with BBC Radio 4 and on television, including Blackadder Goes Forth and a documentary about the English Civil War.

This year, with political stories dominating headlines, he has plenty to talk about.

He is paying attention to the human condition, sharing what keeps him awake at night, what makes him tick, and what he fears and hopes for.

In a review about his shows, the Guardian said: “In an ideal world, Hardy would be extremely famous, but an ideal world would leave him without most of his best material.”

Hardy will perform at the Armstrong Hall, in Chapel Street, Thornbury, on April 20 at 8pm as part of its arts festival.

Tickets, priced £5-14, are available from www.thornburyartsfestival.com
