A stand-up comedy night will take place in Winscombe next month.
Paul Kerensa, who has written and edited a large number of scripts for BBC and Sky television programmes, will take to the stage at St James’ Church Hall on November 18.
He won the ITV Take The Mike award back in 2002 and his stand-up routines have impressed reviewers across the UK – the London Evening Standard called his routine ‘ingenious’.
Radio fans may also be accustomed to Kerensa’s work, as he often contributes to Pause For Thought on Chris Evans’ Radio 2 Breakfast Show.
The comedy night will be hosted by Winscombe & Sandford Churches Together at the hall in Church Lane.
Doors will open at 7pm and there will be a bar in operation too.
Tickets, priced £10 including nibbles, are available from the church office and the village Post Office.
