A ‘spectacular’ firework display will take place on Marine Parade on Saturday.

The event will start at 6pm and the best views can be enjoyed from the Grand Pier itself.

The showtime is subject to the tide and weather conditions, but the display should begin at around 7pm.

Food will be served at the Boardwalk Restaurant until 8.30pm.

This is a standing only event, however, there will be a few benches located along the pier and in the conservatory. These will be available on a first come, first served basis.

The pier will be open to day visitors until 5pm, after which everyone will be asked to leave until the pier reopens for ticket-holders at 5.30pm.

Standard tickets, priced £7.50, can be purchased at www.grandpier.co.uk, or at the gift shop. Gold tickets, priced £12.50, include a portion of fish and chips, served in the Boardwalk Café.
