AN ARTS festival kicked off its final fortnight in style this week with an exciting exhibition. Weston Arts Festival's Willow Barn Sculpture Exhibition will be held in Willow Barn

AN ARTS festival kicked off its final fortnight in style this week with an exciting exhibition.Weston Arts Festival's Willow Barn Sculpture Exhibition will be held in Willow Barn in Duck Lane, Wick St Lawrence, until October 7. The outdoor display features sculptures from all over the region and entry is free.A Weston artist who has been inspired by some familiar landmarks around town will also display her work for the arts festival.Jane Cartney, who lives in Clarence Road North, has recreated sites like the Marine Lake, Beach Road and Knightstone Island on canvas.Her work will be on public display at Weston Arts Festival Photography and Beyond Exhibition at North Somerset Museum in Burlington Street until October 14.Other events to watch out for this week include an exhibition of fine art at The Carlton Centre in Carlton Road, Weston, which is running until October 13. A film workshop will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at The Blakehay in Wadham Street.For more details on any of the events taking place until October 20, call 07833 780456.
