(PS2, Xbox, PC)Back in 1975, Steven Spielberg's Jaws broke all box office records to become one of the highest grossing films of its time and it's amazing that the famous underwater inhabitant hasn't landed on our consoles before now.So what's the story behind Jaws Unleashed? Well, Amity Island is growing, making corporate connections with prestigious companies like Environplus to improve the Island's economy. Unfortunately the increased population around the island and recent industrial activity has also attracted you - you being a great white shark. When the Environplus CEO's son falls prey to your deadly attacks, shark hunter Cruz Ruddock is called in to exact bloody revenge. Meanwhile, marine biologist Michael Brody is trying to capture you for research! The life of a shark isn't an easy one then. The good news is you can perform a variety of stunning underwater, surface and air attacks via a user friendly combat system, allowing you to tear objects (including people of course) apart piece by piece. You can choose to follow story-based missions, freely roam the island and its surroundings causing havoc, do battle with fearsome arena bosses including killer whales and even try out something called 'Shark Vision'.Released: August 2006.
