A classic Disney film has now been re-invented for the big screen and this time, it is bigger and better - not to mention a treat for all the family.

Pete’s Dragon was first released in 1977 and featured both live actors and an animated dragon. However, Disney’s reimagining comes complete with super special effects, and a lifelike new dragon.

The new version stars Jurassic World’s leading lady Bryce Dallas Howard and Oscar-winning actor Robert Redford.

The plot follows Grace, a young girl for whom stories of a fierce dragon in the woods have been common during her childhood, thanks to the vivid imagination of her wood carver father.

The dragon soon becomes more than a fairytale though, as Grace meets 10-year-old Pete who claims he lives with a giant, green dragon named Elliot.

The Mercury has teamed up with Weston’s Odeon to offer three lucky readers a family ticket (two adults and two children) to see the film, which is released tomorrow (Friday).
