Admission is bending the rules

A ROMANTIC comedy from the director of About A Boy, Admission (12A) promises to be one of the most charming films of the summer.
Taking place at an American high school, the film sees straight-laced admissions officer Portia Nathan (Tina Fey) thrown into a mix of romantic situations and career-defining decisions.
The film’s core tale unravels after teacher John Pressman (Paul Rudd) realises his gifted new student might be the son Portia gave up for adoption.
Portia soon finds herself bending the rules for this student, putting the life she always wanted at risk, but in the process putting her on course for a surprising and exhilarating whirlwind romance she never dreamed of having.
Directed by Paul Weitz, one half of the brotherly duo which directed About A Boy, the film is sure to be a hit with those looking for tales which tug the heartstrings as well as tickle the funny bone.
Admission is out tomorrow (Fri).
