King of cringe David Brent is back as we join him in his failing Life On The Road

Prepare yourself, one of British television's most-hilarious, cringeworthy characters is back - this time on the big screen.
Ricky Gervais stars as cult-hero David Brent in Life On The Road, 13 years after the character last appeared on our TV screens in much-loved mockumentary The Office, where Brent stumbled around from day to day, managing the staff of paper company Wernham Hogg with hilarious inadequacy.
But Brent has ditched the mundane repetition of office life for his true calling – touring the world as a musician in his band Forgone Conclusion.
But it is not going to plan for Brent, having to delve into his pension to pay band members’ wages after disappointing ticket sales.
Co-starring is musical comedian Doc Brown, who plays Brent’s band-mate Dom Johnson.
The band is followed by a camera crew on tour, which Brent believes will elevate them to stardom, but it is a much more comical account of Brent’s growing list of failures.
The Mercury has teamed up with the Weston Odeon to offer three lucky readers the chance to each win a pair of tickets to see David Brent: Life On The Road at a time of your choice.
