Queen biopic to be screened at cinema club

The life story of one of music’s most legendary and popular performers will be shown on the silver screen next week.

Bohemian Rhapsody will be screened at Long Ashton's community centre, in Keedwell Hill, by LA Cinema.

It tells the story of the popular rock band Queen and its iconic frontman Freddie Mercury.

The film follows the singer's life from when the band is formed in the 1970s to their famous televised performance at Live Aid in 1985.

Bohemian Rhapsody, which was released last year, won best motion picture at the Golden Globes and was a box-office smash, while leading actor Rami Malek was named best actor at the Oscars, BAFTA's and Golden Globes for his portrayal of Mercury.

Doors will open on May 18 at 7.15pm. The screening will start at 8pm.
