TWILIGHT star Robert Pattinson jettisons his superhuman abilities to star in atmospheric thriller Cosmopolis.

Directed by David Cronenberg (A Dangerous Method and eXistenZ), the film hitches a ride with a financier for whom the capitalist dream turns into a nightmare over 24 hours.

Set on the eve of a global financial meltdown, the film follows the increasingly paranoid 28-year-old billionaire (Pattinson) in his limousine through the rapidly disintegrating streets of New York as he realises he might not just be about to lose his fortune – he could also lose his life.

Cosmopolis also stars Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Mathieu Amalric, and 2010 World Cup rapper K’Naan.
