Roald Dahl’s The BFG is being brought to life on the big screen by Disney and director Steven Spielberg.

Dahl’s classic tells the story of a young girl and a giant who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country.

The Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance) takes 10-year-old Sophie to Dream Country, where he collects dreams to send to children.

They have both been alone in the world up until their encounter, but Sophie’s presence in Giant Country attracts unwanted attention from other giants – and they are not as friendly as the BFG.

The BFG, written by the author Roald Dahl in 1982, is directed by Spielberg, whose previous children’s films include ET and Hook. The film also stars Rafe Spall and Bill Hader.

The Mercury has teamed up with the Odeon in Weston-super-Mare to offer three family tickets to the film.

Usual Archant rules apply and the editor’s decision is final. By entering, you agree to be contacted by Archant.

The closing date is 10am on July 29.
