A RECORD-BREAKING supernatural film franchise continues with Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.

The sixth addition to the Paranormal Activity universe features a family who move from New York and quickly discover something is wrong with their new house.

The father, Ryan, has moved to take up a new job as a video game designer.

But it quickly becomes apparent moving may have been the wrong decision.

The first Paranormal Activity film was released at film festivals in 2007, and then more widely two years later after being bought by Paramount Pictures.

The film, which cost only $15,000 to make, became a surprise hit and made more than $190million at box offices around the world. It is the one of the most profitable films ever made.

Only Katie Featherstone, who appeared in three other Paranormal Activity films, and Hallie Foote who appeared in two are returning for its sixth instalment.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is released tomorrow (Friday).
