THE main characters in a film still showing at the Odeon, Weston, prove that love really can conquer all - including the fact they've never met.Dr Kate Forster (Sandra Bullock) leaves her home in Illinois to take a job in Chicago. She is reluctant to leave her artfully designed house, which she has grown so fond of. Before she leaves Kate writes a note for the new tenant asking for any letters to be forwarded to her and explaining about the paw prints by the front door. When the next tenant Alex Wyler (Keanu Reeves) moves in he finds the lake house badly neglected, in need of some tender loving care and with no paw prints anywhere to be seen.Alex ignores the note left by Kate until a few days later, as he is painting the jetty he sees a stray dig run across the paint leaving paw prints. Confused, he writes back saying he knew of no occupant before him and asking how she knew about the paw prints. The two go on to realise they are living two years apart. While Alex is in 2004, Kate is in 2006.Even more amazing is that they are falling in love but can they bridge distance and time to find true love?
