WHEN a father substitutes his stillborn child for a healthy one he is unaware of the terror it will bring to the world.The Omen (18), a remake of the classic 1976 movie, is still showing at The Odeon, Weston.Liev Schreiber plays the US ambassador Robert Thorn. One night, as the birth of their child goes wrong, Thorn substitutes his stillborn baby without his wife's knowledge.A few years later he begins to regret his actions as some grisly events start to unfold. The child's nanny hangs herself and the local priest meets a nasty end.When the child, named Damien, turns five, Thorn unravels the truth, that his 'son' is the anti-Christ and the only way to kill him is with seven daggers of Meggado.Can Thorn make the ultimate sacrifice and get rid of the boy for the sake of the rest of the world?
