CINEPHILES will not be short of options at Bristol’s Watershed Cinema over the next two weeks, with three varied films on offer.
Samsara (12A) is the brainchild of director Ron Fricke, and was filmed over four years in more than 20 countries, transporting the audience through multiple cultures, sacred grounds, disaster sites and natural wonders in a wordless meditation of the wonders of our world.
It is showing daily at 6pm from tomorrow (Fri) to September 6.
Oscar-winning director James Marsh’s latest feature Shadow Dancer (15) sees Clive Owen, Andrea Riseborough and Gillian Anderson star in a multi-layered thriller set at the height of the IRA troubles of the early 1990s.
It will be screened daily at 6.20pm and 8.50pm until September 6 and 2.30pm on September 1-3, with the schedule after that yet to be confirmed.
In The Dark Half (15) is a compelling, mysterious story of a teenage girl’s journey through her own unsettled imagination.
It is the first film to be released from iFeatures, a Bristol-based digital film initiative that has supported three films set in Bristol.
It will be screened from tomorrow (Fri) to September 6 at 8.30pm daily.
