VIN Diesel stars as an immortal warrior sworn to protect the world from the supernatural one beyond it.

Elijah Wood (The Lord Of The Rings) and Michael Caine (The Italian Job) also appear in The Last Witch Hunter.

Diesel plays Kaulder, who is part of an order called the Axe And Cross, which is sworn to defend the world from supernatural forces.

He once fought and killed the witches responsible for creating the Black Death in the Middle Ages.

But the Queen Witch cursed him with immortality, separating him from his beloved wife and daughter.

As a result, Kaulder becomes the only witch hunter left in the world and spends years hunting down rogue witches.

When the covens of New York unite to try to unleash the plague once more, he is forced to take on Chloe, a young witch, as his partner.

Rose Leslie (Game Of Thrones, Downton Abbey) stars as Chloe in the supernatural action film, while professional wrestler Kurt Angle also has a cameo role.

Diesel is best known for his performances in the Fast And The Furious film series. He also voiced Groot in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy film, which was released last year.

His co-star Elijah Wood made his film debut with a minor role in Back To The Future Part II.

As a child, he starred in Flipper, before taking on parts in Deep Impact and The Faculty.

His most high-profile role was as Frodo Baggins in The Lord Of The Rings.

The Last Witch Hunter is in cinemas now.
