THE Royal Ballet's latest performance will be screened on Tuesday live from the Royal Opera House.

La Fille Mal Gardée will be shown by the Odeon to give audiences from around the country the chance to enjoy the breathtaking spectacle.

It is based on a 18th century French ballet and features everything from halfwit suitors to dancing chickens as it portrays the moving story of Lise and her lover Colas.

The production, shown live from London will be based on Frederick Ashton’s staging from 1960, which has become synonymous with La Fille Mal Gardée ever since.
