The rollercoaster life and career of one of the most charismatic musicians of all time is chronicled in a new film which hits cinemas next week.

The legendary tale of Freddie Mercury and Queen is told in Bohemian Rhapsody, and the Mercury has three pairs of tickets to give away to lucky readers.

The film – which stars Rami Malek of Amazon Prime drama Mr Robot as Mercury – tracks Queen’s meteoric rise to the top, the singer’s attempt at a solo career and his diagnosis with AIDS, which ultimately led to his death in 2019.

Queen – who boast a seemingly endless back catalogue of timeless hits like Don’t Stop Me Now, We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You and Bohemian Rhapsody – were formed in 1970 after Mercury joined and renamed Brian May and Roger Taylor’s band Smile.

The band remains incredibly popular today, and the film is set to be a celebration of their long and storied success.

One of the film’s many highlights is a recreation of Queen’s unforgettable performance in front of tens of thousands of people at a sold-out Wembley Stadium for Live Aid in 1985.

Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most hotly-anticipated films of the year, with critics already heaping praise on Malek for his excellent replication of the Queen frontman’s life.
