Weston may have only just been treated to the air festival, however eyes will be cast skywards again this weekend.

Woodspring Wings Model Aircraft Club will host its summer air show on Saturday and Sunday at the Claverham Drove airfield, near Yatton.

It is the club’s 25th anniversary year and special celebratory events are planned.

A spokesman said: “Woodspring Wings is renowned in the hobby world for its model flying and once again will be welcoming a wide selection from around the country, with some very large models for visitors to enjoy, including models of the Lancaster and possibly a Vulcan.

“The show is complemented by static displays and trade marquees that have been well received and enjoyed by thousands of visitors since the inaugural show in the early 1990s.

“Added attractions this year include radio controlled boats and cars to try for a small charge.”

Planes will fly from 10am-5pm on both days and entry costs £10.
