The mouth-watering Foodies Festival is making a return to Bristol in May, when it will also host the West heats of the British Street Food Awards.

This three-day culinary treat will include a wide range of dishes from esteemed street food vendors and there is even a chance to get involved in the awards – with a chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award.

The theme this year is ‘feel good foods’, with a number of healthy-living chefs and expert food writers on hand to educate people on the advantages of eating certain foods.

The festival promises a few enchanted tasters, with cheese providing the ‘love drug’ and dark chocolate the ‘happy drug’.

Recipes will be available to take home too, offering emotional and nutritional benefits.

It may then need to be washed down with something fresh and the amazing drinks theatre may be just the thing. Expert mixologists and sommeliers will be on hand to match the perfect wine to your meal, as well as a chance to partake in a beer master class, and a blindfolded taste test.

Tickets, priced at £10 or £8 concession for the Friday and £14 or £11 concession for the weekend, are available from 08449 951111 or
