1940s night at pub

A 1940s-THEMED charity night will be held at a Weston pub for the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and to raise money for a domestic abuse charity.

Period duo The Martini Belles will perform 1940s acoustic hits at Scallys in Carlton Street today (Fri).

They will be followed by eight piece swing and jive band The Skyliners, performing for the first time, in aid of North Somerset Against Domestic Abuse.

The duo will start at 8.30pm, followed by the band at 9pm.

There will also be bangers and mash with mushy peas served by the land girls from 7-9pm for £3.50.

Entry is £3 on the door, with all proceeds going to charity.
