Chart-topping 1970s soul group The Real Thing are set to perform in Weston this summer, bringing their smooth sounds on a nationwide tour.

The Liverpool-based trio are setting off on a 40-year anniversary celebration tour and will headline The Playhouse on August 27.

The Real Thing will be performing all their hits including Can’t Get By Without You, Can You Feel the Force?, Whenever You Want My Love and their number-one single You To Me Are Everything.

Their first album, Real Thing, featured three top-20 singles and catapulted the band into the national spotlight. Four more appearances in the top-20 followed and the group are now celebrating 40 years of their silky soul sounds.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets for the concert are priced at £24.50 for adults, £22 for over-60s and £12 for children.
