A MASSIVE music event held annually near Cheddar has been awarded a licence for 20,000 people to attend.The Big Green Gathering runs for five days in August at Fernhill Farm off the B3134 with music, theatre and dance acts alongside workshops and discussions on aspects of green energy. The gathering is held on a 190-acre site divided into several different areas for different workshops and activities. Event chairman Brig Oubridge said: "Big Green Gathering 2007 is set to be our most successful event ever and we can promise attendees a low carbon holiday, which will help reduce their ecological footprint." The licence was granted by Mendip District Council this week. This year it will be held on August 1-5. Tickets are £110 for adults, £80 for concessions and £30 for children.
